Teacher: High School Theater/Communications & Language Arts

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of school principal or designee, the High School Theater/Communications & Languge Arts Teacher creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Theater/Communications Teacher must work closely with other staff, and administration of the District.

KPERS participation for this position is mandatory.

Additional Information:

• Bachelors Degree in mathematics education or related field required.
• Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement required.
• Oversees/directs student plays and musicals.
• Collaborates with other teachers on best practices and teaching strategies that support student learning.
• Collaborates with teachers in other content areas to produce cross-curricular projects and assignments.
• Engages students in the math program using a hands-on learning approach.
• Maintains accurate records and communicate with colleagues, administration, and families.
• Coaching and student organization advisor/sponsor positions may be available.
