We are accepting applications for potential on-line facilitator openings within the Department of Teacher Education for academic year 2023-2024. The need for these positions is currently undetermined and is dependent upon operational needs including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this Pool Posting. Applications to this pool will be used to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible facilitator positions on the Athens campus as student demand dictates for Spring semester. The number of Teacher Education courses offered each semester is dependent on student demand. The need may include both undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Middle Childhood Education, Adolescent to Young Adult Education, Special Education, Reading Education, and Curriculum & Instruction. Applications will be accepted into the pool on an ongoing basis through Friday August 14, 2024. Job Description
Course facilitators engage students in learning that meets the course and learning objectives, moderate weekly discussions and encourage quality participation from students, provide meaningful feedback to students on discussions, assist in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students; provide timely grading of discussions in accordance to the rubric provided by the instructor of record.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Education or closely related field. Additional qualifications, such as online teaching experience, may be required for specific courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant and recent PK-12 classroom-based experience.
