Teacher Early Learning Center

Crosspoint’s Early Learning Center is looking for team members who have a passion for making a difference in a child’s life. We use The Creative Curriculum to provide a stimulating educational and nurturing environment, providing children with an opportunity to develop cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically. Our center provides a nurturing and fun learning environment aimed at improving a child’s readiness for school while providing the security and reliability parents are looking for.

Teacher Requirements:

Crosspoint at the Y is seeking full time teachers for our DCFS licensed, Early Learning Center, serving children from 15 months to 6 years of age. Our teachers creatively develop age appropriate lesson plans and activities for the children in their classroom as well as assist in maintaining a safe environment based on established DCFS standards.

1. An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent;

2. The completion of a Child Development credentialing program;

3. An Associate or Baccalaureate degree with at least 6 semester hours in Early Childhood;

4. Be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate or Baccalaureate degree with at least 6 semester hours in Early Childhood;

5. A combination of approved hours of experience and education.
