Teacher - Diploma Completion Program - Ne Wichita

ORION Education and Training has an opening for a full-time Teacher in NE Wichita at their Diploma Completion & Learning Center. Applicants must have a valid Kansas teaching license for secondary level, all endorsements considered, but Business/Marketing/Computer Education preferred. Orion works in cooperation with local school districts to give adult students an opportunity to earn credits necessary to meet graduation requirements and obtain a high school diploma. This position would involve course management for adult students ages 20 & Older.

Responsibilities:

● Create and upload instructional support materials within a variety of online communication platforms (LMS, social media, email, etc.).

● Act as primary liaison between Orion NE Wichita, school districts, and other participating Orion locations.

● Facilitate online and onsite coursework for students in coordination with district requirements.

● Maintain a safe and disciplined environment conducive to learning. ● Monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress.

● Follow and enforce policies and regulations for both ORION and KSDE.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Kansas licensure, secondary required

● Experience: Working with non-traditional learners and/or online environments

● Technology Skills: G Suite applications, digital literacy, file management, LMS operation

● Other Skills: Communication, organization, self-regulation, problem-solving, creative and independent thinking

● Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Job Type: Full-time
