Qualifications

• 12+ ECE units, must have 3 units in each of the following

Child Development, Child, Family & Community, Program/Curriculum

• 1+ years of experience in preschool or Montessori environment
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification
• Computer and Social Media skills (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. (with or without assistance)
• May require long periods of standing up and walking.

Job Duties

• Assist head teacher in daily classroom activities in general. Including but not limited to:

o Assist in the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of children with Montessori philosophy and methodology.

o Assist head teacher to enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining Montessori classroom culture

o Assist in implementing the curriculum and class schedule

• Cleaning and straighten the classroom and any area in the facility
• Prepare snacks
• Supervise nap, recess, morning and afternoon care
• Perform proper handover to AM / PM care staff for regarding the classroom students assigned
• Maintain accurate records for children in the assigned classroom.

• Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in your care, including changing diapers or soiled clothing and washing hands.
• Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the Center and state guidelines
• Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
