Responsibilities: - Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities for preschool-aged children - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow - Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning - Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive classroom environment - Manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies when necessary - Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children with special education requirements or developmental delays - Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred - Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting - Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues - Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children - Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with diverse groups of children - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies - Understanding of working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
