Position Summary:
Under the supervision of school principal or designee, the Intermediate (3rd-5th Grade) Teacher creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the 3rd Grade Teacher must work closely with other staff, and administration of the District.
Additional Information:
- Bachelors Degree in elementary education or related field required.
- Current Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
- Collaborates with other teachers on best practices and teaching strategies that support student learning.
- Collaborates with teachers in other content areas to produce cross-curricular projects and assignments.
- Engages students in a hands-on learning approach.
- Coaching and student organization advisor/sponsor positions may be available.
USD290 conducts background screenings and TB tests on all potential candidates.
