Catholic Charities is seeking a Data Support Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Support Specialist will have the responsibility to analyze, review, forecast, data entry/retrieval and submit/export State mandated data. [DDaP, PSDCRS but not limited to others]
This position reports directly to the Director of Business/Services. Will serve as a liaison between staff and supervisors to relay data needs to meet agency expectations with systems reporting.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work directly with the Director of Business/Services to identify analytical requirements
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential electronic data and ensure the accuracy of data being entered into the different databases
- Assist in the maintenance, implementation, and support of technology, assessment, and instruction that required data entry
- In consultation with the Director of Business/services, act as a data resource liaison, where necessary for funding applications and reporting
- Serve as the Director of Business/Service backup related but not limited to System Setup, Helpdesk, etc.)
- Attend user groups meetings and have the ability to keep abreast of changing and/or improving techniques as they pertain to computer input/output
- Advise Director of Business/Services of potential problems, suggested improvements or other pertinent information relative to the smooth operation for the data processing
- Serve as the liaison between staff & supervisors to meet State & Program funding data reporting requirements
- Analyze, review, forecast, data entry/retrieval, and trend complex data
- Require knowledge of technical issues and ability to troubleshoot
- Review the analysis, manipulation and interpretation of others work; data entry is required
- Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Retrieve data as requested, and/or mandated reporting in a timely fashion
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A.S. or High school diploma, and 5 years minimum in computer systems
- Knowledge of operation systems, networks and electronic database/information systems, including MS Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work within established timeframes as set by funding sources
- Ability to work well with people at all levels, either internally or externally
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, technical support experts and other employees
