Job description

Job Description – Experiential Lead

Position Summary:

The Experiential Lead is responsible for overseeing and/or executing consumer facing sales and/or promotional events within a TaylorMade territory. The Representative is responsible for custom fitting golf equipment and ensures the visibility and quality of TaylorMade equipment and products while providing all other related services to satisfy consumer requirements and requests within their territory.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, scheduling and executing Experiential Fitting events and appointments with local on and off course retailers (green grass, strategic, and key accounts).
  • Achieve Experiential Event targets and metrics.
  • Recruit, Hire, Train, Schedule and oversee experiential technicians within the territory as it relates to Fitting, Product, Sales Techniques & Applications.
  • Train, educate and support experiential technicians in designated sales markets based on location with experiential-related information.
  • Call on and provide service to Strategic Account doors within defined territory (i.e. merchandising, product/fitting training, relationship building, visit reports, etc.)
  • Maintain and manage the Experiential Event Product, Range Assets and Set-Ups for all Techs within the territory.
  • Develops and maintain effective training partnerships with account locations.
  • Activate MyFittingExp and other applications to communicate consumer information, strategic surveys and sales data reports to TM.
  • Maintain a high level of product and fitting knowledge to recommend the correct TM product to enhance player performance.
  • Manage select fit accounts (once identified) in terms of equipment, training and servicing etc. May help Sales Reps to identify Select Fit locations based on account knowledge
  • Responsible for compiling and generating reports as they relate to event productivity, experiential calendar, and market trends.
  • Manage experiential labor budget and experiential expenses to achieve budget.
  • Assist Sales Representative with service calls to local on and off course accounts.
  • Create brand awareness focused on sales growth of TaylorMade consumable products at green grass and off course accounts.
  • Performs other responsibilities as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Must have a strong and sincere passion for the TaylorMade brands and products
  • Be a constant professional and represent the brand in a positive manner and appearance
  • Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic: high comfort level engaging with customers
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be very dependable with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and handle competing priorities each day
  • Ability to be proactive and assertive and be skilled at problem solving
  • Must be empathetic and respectful to both customer and consumer needs
  • Strong level of written and verbal communication skills. Use of professional language and good judgment when interacting with customers regarding comparison of various product brands
  • Prior success in establishing goals and achieving results
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computer software programs to report data

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • 2 years golf related Custom Fitting/Sales experience.
  • PGA Affiliation preferred
  • Must have golf industry, retail and/or education (i.e. PGM Program, Golf Academy) experience
  • Must have experience with custom fitting golf clubs
  • Must have passion for the game of golf and proficient playing ability

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work; including evenings and weekends and holidays when required.
  • Extensive travel. Must be able to travel to various locations for experiential events (50% traveling)
  • MUST be able to live in the defined sales territory with ability to travel within territory lines
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
