IFC Personal Money Managers, Inc (ObjectiveAdvice.com) has been serving a wide array of clients for over 35 years. We are a small, boutique advisory firm that specializes in fee-only financial advice, tax accounting, consulting and estate planning for clients with very individualized needs, and we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable, dedicated and self-motivated tax preparer to grow with our company.

Compensation:

We are looking for an individual who can commit to 20-40 hours/week during tax season.

Position Description and Responsibilities:

- Tax review, preparation and planning for Individuals and Trusts, S-Corps & Partnerships

- Financial and tax consulting; Provide explanation and analysis of financial statements

- Facilitate client meetings for both accounting and tax consultation; support clients with ongoing tax planning & projections

- Communicate with clients in an understandable and friendly manner

- Review tax returns prepared by other team members

- Research tax issues and document conclusions

- Respond to IRS and state agency inquiries and notices

- Analyze data in comparison to prior years for missing information and consistency

- Develop long-standing relationships with clients through high level client service interactions

- Partner with internal team members to support any financial planning for clients

- Inclusion in Financial Planning, if desired; opportunity for growth

- In-depth knowledge of tax rules and regulations

- Attitude and aptitude for learning

- Recent experience in accounting, preferably in a small firm setting

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A penchant for analyzation & problem solving

- Agile mindset – with the ability to successfully manage competing projects, priorities, and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting

- Proficiency with ProSeries

- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks

- 5+ years of experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
