SalaryResponsibilities:
- Prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws
- Identify potential deductions and credits to minimize clients' tax liability
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer any tax-related questions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in tax preparation or related field preferred
- Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with public accounting procedures and standards
- Proficiency in using accounting software for tax preparation
- Strong 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
- Excellent math skills for calculations and analysis
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
