CDH, PC is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Tax Manager to join our Tax team in Itasca, Illinois. This is a management position, coordinating activities related to the tax management and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of tax issues and have a proven track record of providing strategic and proactive advice in the accounting and tax areas.

Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor the implementation of sound tax strategies, policies, and best practices while ensuring tax payments are timely, accurate, and compliant.
- Handle all corporate tax compliance, including federal and state income taxes, and local tax filings.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns ensuring accuracy, mitigating tax liabilities, and optimizing tax savings.
- Serve as a working tax expert, providing effective and timely execution of technical tax matters.
- Conduct research, analysis, and review of corporate tax laws for legislative changes and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with and advise external service providers to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- Ensure the proper classification and accrual of tax credits and deferred taxes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting a plus
- Current CPA License is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of income tax regulations, GAAP and ability to recognize potential red flags
- Analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset with the assurance of accuracy in all tasks
- Highly organized with effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete tasks under tight deadlines
