Tax Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CPA Tax Manager to join our client's team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning and compliance for our clients. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Duties:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings
- Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters
- Review financial statements and other financial reports to identify potential tax issues or opportunities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related tasks
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate any relevant updates to the team

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification a MUST!
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, preferably in a public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Quicken, Xero, and other accounting software
- Experience with financial report writing and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and accounts payable

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
