$70,961.00-88,700.50 USD
Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate's ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidate's expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEP's staffing needs. Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare tax returns, reports, estimates and supporting workpapers.
- Compute and record tax accruals and reconcile tax accounts.
- Prepare schedules for financial and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare forecast and budget information and participate in special studies.
- Prepare federal, state and local tax sections of regulatory filings.
- Research tax issues and questions and prepare memos.
- Prepare responses to audit questions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience requirement listed below:
Tax Specialist:
- Two (2) years' in total work experience with one (1) year in tax.
Tax Senior
- Four (4) years' in total work experience with one (2) year in tax
Tax Principal
- Five (5) years' in total work experience with one (3) year in tax
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:
- Progress toward professional certification preferred.
