Tax Accounting Intern- Herndon, Va

We are looking for responsible, smart, positive people to join our accounting team in Herndon, VA for a summer 2024 paid internship role. • Working towards an accounting degree and taking at least 2 accounting classes
• Willing to learn new software and any tax software experience a plus
• QuickBooks experience a plus

Job Position:

• Teaming with senior staff to complete a variety of tax returns including business, personal, estate, non-profit returns.
• Working on various projects with senior staff from analysis, planning, etc.
• Learn how to handle tax research and analysis for federal and state levels
• Learn some basic bookkeeping and bookkeeping reconciliation for tax returns for a wide variety of business clients
• Assist with processing payroll including 1099's, W-2's etc.
