Tasting Room Associate

Welcome to the Oregon Wine L.A.B.! The Oregon Wine LAB is an urban winery, wine bar, and tasting lounge here in Eugene. In addition to the production of our own label, William Rose Wines, The LAB also features other local wines sourced from small wineries throughout Oregon as well as unique selections from all over the world! We even have a full tap list of local beers and ciders for the non-wine drinkers.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and reliable Tasting Room Associate to join our team part time. As a Tasting Room Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Urban Winery. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with front of house duties, assisting customers, and winery events. Part time to begin with opportunity for growth and additional hours. If you're interested in the wine business, this is a great opportunity to learn about winemaking, harvest, sales and more! Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.

Responsibilities:

-Must have strong customer service skills to serve our wine club members and customers. Greet all customers and be able to discuss wine, beer, cider, NA options. Create welcoming experience.

-Actively promote Wine Club membership to all potential customers.

- Must be able to lift 40lbs.

- Properly store and rotate wine and food items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

- Assist with some food preparation: charcuterie and cheese boards

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the FOH area, including storage shelves, refrigerators, and back bar.

- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages or expired products

- Follow all OLCC/food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

- Assist with event set up, staffing, and break down when needed.

Skills:

- Previous experience in hospitality is required.

-Wine knowledge preferred, but not required.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory and cleanliness in the Tasting Room.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Hospitality mindset to provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

-Ability to work weekends, nights.

-OLCC and Food Handler's certifcation required, or completed upon hiring.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
