We are currently seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our growing centers in West Lafayette and Carmel, IN. You must be able to commute to one of these locations on a weekly basis.

Summary

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist for LittleStar ABA Therapy center you will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). The RBTs work directly with our patients and play an essential role in LittleStar’s workforce. You will be responsible for the important task of sourcing and recruiting for one of the most vital positions within our organization. We are looking for someone skilled in identifying talent, sharing our story, and passionate about helping others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process
  • Identifies and implements effective recruiting methods and strategies based upon the RBT role
  • Collaborates with Intake, Scheduling, Facilities and Human Resources to identify, recruit and hire candidates where needed
  • Prepares the job posting and advertisement processes and maintains job posts on the Applicant Tracking System, job boards and career sites as needed
  • Review resumes and screen RBT candidates, schedule, prepare interview questions and hiring and selection materials, and conduct interviews; screen, schedule and conduct interviews for non-RBT positions as requested by the Talent Acquisition Director or Chief Human Resources Officer
  • Completes reference checks as needed
  • Extends informal verbal offers and forwards candidates to the Human Resources Office to meet required deadlines for orientation process
  • Proactively ensures that the organization is current on all staffing needs and projects future needs
  • Maintains all recruiting and hiring related tracking spreadsheets with accurate, current information as needed and maintains applicant tracking system
  • Attend job fairs, community events, and other recruiting related events as needed
  • Create new resources to generate additional candidates
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by the Talent Acquisition Director or Chief Human Resources Officer

Educational Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience highly preferred
  • Two years’ experience managing all phases of recruiting and hiring process highly preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
  • Understanding of Recruitment and Human Resources programs, practices, and legal requirements
  • Ability to meet goals and objectives in the recruitment of RBT staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment of a variety of roles
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Positive, energetic team player with ability to positively promote LittleStar as a place of employmen
  • Discretion in matters that need to remain private
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment system
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Supervisory Responsibility

There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office and audiovisual equipment. This position may be eligible for telecommuting per the telecommuting policy depending on organizational needs and at supervisor’s discretion.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Travel

Travel is generally not expected for this position but may be occasional to remote sites and/or training events or conferences, as needed.


Conditions of Employment

  • Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks.
  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained as needed.
