Job Purpose and Function

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will assist in attracting, obtaining, and retaining a diverse and impactful talent workforce. You will work on a collaborative team that is driven by creating strong relationships and rapport with potential candidates, hiring managers, and department leaders, be a self-starter with a customer-focused mindset and feel comfortable working in a high-volume, retail recruiting environment.

 

Your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to creating and posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes and short-listing qualified candidates, processing pre-employment screenings, supporting Talent Acquisition projects, along with other administrative duties as assigned.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition & Performance Manager and team throughout the recruitment lifecycle
  • Source active and passive candidates to fill open requisitions and meet workforce needs
  • Create and post engaging job advertisements, and review and shortlist qualified candidates
  • Manage job postings on various platforms and company career sites
  • Utilize structured interview guides for candidate screenings via various recruiting channels and systems
  • Manage pre-employment screenings and assessments according to job requirements
  • Enter and maintain candidate information in the ATS and shared digital collaborative spaces
  • Maintain candidate information in our systems and collaborative spaces
  • Schedule and organize interviews with candidates, serving as the liaison between candidates and Wills Group
  • Articulate our company’s values, vision, culture and benefits to potential candidates
  • Actively contribute to recruitment goal setting and execution aligned with our strategy
  • Support Talent Acquisition projects and other administrative duties
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for acquiring top talent
  • Support recruitment events for new store openings and campus recruitment

 

What We’re Looking For 

 

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, or Talent Acquisition in a corporate or agency setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, HR or related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organization skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Proficiency in using job boards, social channels, ATS, and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and maintaining a robust and diverse talent network
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across organizational levels

An ideal candidate will also have

  • Prior recruitment experience in retail, food service, or hospitality industry
  • Experience in diversity recruitment and recruitment marketing with analytics experience

Availability and Travel   

 

  • This is a hybrid role that will require 2 days onsite at our La Plata, MD HQ, our in-person days are Tuesday through Thursday, with the remainder remote; our core operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST. 
  • This role may require occasional travel, for training, conferences, or recruiting events across our operating area (DE, MD, VA) with reimbursement available for approved accommodations, mileage, and/or expenses.
