Tack Truck Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION:

BSI Paving is a leading concrete and paving company seeking a skilled Tack Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and transporting asphalt materials, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to construction sites. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safely operate and drive Tack Truck to transport materials/lay down materials to and from construction sites.

- Load and unload asphalt materials with precision and attention to safety guidelines.

- Perform routine pre and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the truck.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the asphalt truck.

- Maintain a clean and organized truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and project managers.

- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

- Ensure the timely delivery of asphalt materials and also laying down material to construction sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with A minimum of a class B endorsement/Air brake endorsement.

- Proven experience as a Tack Truck Driver or similar role in the construction industry.

- Clean driving record and a commitment to safety.

- Ability to operate asphalt trucks and related equipment efficiently.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

- Knowledge of basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Physical ability to load and unload materials and perform other manual tasks as needed.

- Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends and overtime.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
