Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC), headquartered in Tampa, FL, is North America's largest bulk liquid chemical carrier. Through a network of more than 100 terminals and facilities, we transport a broad range of chemical products and provide our customers with value-added transportation services.
The Instructional Design and Training Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing learning tools to meet organization initiatives. This position will partner with various areas of the business to assess their needs and create training and communications that are engaging to employees using Articulate 360, Vyond, Kahoot, and other creative tools.
Business hours Monday-Friday - This position is 75% remote with a minimal amount of time needed in the office to support our new hires during onboarding or during onsite training at the corporate office.
Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive, engaging, and visually appealing learning content for instructor-led seminars, online webinars, self-paced eLearning, and blended learning, based on the learning and performance needs of the target audience.
  • Edit and enhance recorded video and audio content ensuring high quality prior to publication.
  • Publish and upload learning content to QC's Learning Management System (LMS); update and maintain LMS content, learner transcripts, and report data.
  • Conduct structured training needs assessments and provide detailed recommendations of such findings.
  • Analyze various data, identify learning needs, and design and implement follow-up to address the continuous training and instructional needs of learners.
  • In collaboration with Marketing & Business Development and other functional areas, conduct periodic needs assessments to identify learning gaps, unmet learning needs and potential new learner experience initiatives; analyze data to identify unmet needs, new audiences, and emerging topics.
  • Developing and Facilitating onboarding, training, and retention programs
  • Working collaboratively with department heads to help with employee engagement and to improve the quality of work performed by our team.
  • Partner with Human Resources to design, implement, and evaluate remedial training programs.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by department manager

Qualifications:
  • Preferred - BA, BS, MS, or higher degree in organizational development, education, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience with L&D and facilitation
  • E-learning development rockstar using Articulate Rise and Storyline
  • Experience setting up and maintaining an LMS or other learning system
  • Corporate training development or adult learning experience
  • Instructional design experience
  • Proven work experience in Logistics or Transportation preferred
  • Experience working with faculty and subject matter experts for content development
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Self-starter with great motivational skills, ability to "think-outside-the-box" to solve problems, and thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills; virtual (Google Meets) and in-person
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics and appropriate management of confidential information.
  • Excellent analytical, listening, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech and system savvy with strong MS Office and Google Suite
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, or walk around for work 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to read and interpret information accurately.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 25%
