Position: Part-Time Salesperson - School Outings Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and community-connected Part-Time Salesperson to focus on expanding our School Outings program. The ideal candidate will be a retired superintendent, teacher, or school board member from the Volusia CountySchool Systems. This individual will leverage their experience and networks to promote Daytona Lagoon as the premier destination for School Outings, field trips, and educational events.

Key Responsibilities:

Outreach and Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, educational institutions, and relevant community organizations.

Actively reach out to school administrators, teachers, and PTA groups to promote Daytona Lagoon as a venue for School Outings and events.

Sales and Promotion:

Create and present tailored proposals to schools and educational groups, highlighting the benefits and educational opportunities of visiting Daytona Lagoon.

Conduct site visits with potential clients, showcasing the facilities and discussing customizable outing options.

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with the Daytona Lagoon management team to develop strategic plans for increasing school-related bookings.

Identify peak times for School Outings and coordinate with the operations team to manage bookings and ensure a high-quality guest experience.

Feedback and Reporting:

Gather feedback from schools post-visit to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

Maintain records of sales activities, including outreach efforts, bookings, and client feedback.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a superintendent, teacher, or school board member within the Volusia CountySchool Systems.

Strong network and reputation within the local educational community.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.

Proven sales or promotional experience, preferably in the hospitality, entertainment, or educational sectors.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible schedule with the ability to work part-time hours, including occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
