We are seeking Systems Integration Engineer who wish to accelerate their skills and focus on tackling the most difficult challenges of the US Government, in one of the most exciting areas of the mission available. What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)
Your role will include being tapped into for developing software Tools and Services in aPaaS Linux environment supporting an ‘on-prem’ cloud offering for the Agency’s High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure and development environment.
You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) processing intensive analytics (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC!), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. All being critical to the success of the customer and the overall mission at large.
Required Skills
– Experience with Linux CLI
– Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
– General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
– Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, and Ansible
– In-depth experience with trouble-shooting large Linux Clusters
– Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
– Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
– Demonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clusters
– Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
– Experience using Git for version control
Desired Skills
– Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications
– Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines
– Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications
Qualifications
– (8) years’ experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
