The Capacity Planning and Performance Management team is seeking a Systems Engineer, New Grad (Mainframe) to be part of Visa's Global Technology Management organization within Global Systems Engineering. This is an enterprise key function working with organizations across IT and the business to ensure infrastructure capacity is utilized in the most effective and cost efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
Be involved in all z/OS mainframe systems capacity and performance planning, design and change-related activities
Work with the Capacity and Performance team to provide support to application and engineering teams and assist management with identifying future costs related to hardware and software
Gather, sort, and enrich data for various capacity and performance metrics
Make effective use of technology capital through disciplined demand forecasting, capacity management, utilizing proactive performance management and modeling
Operate in complex and highly secure operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments
Maintain a common documentation library of standardized processes and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Less than 2 years relevant work experience with either Bachelor's or Master's degreein Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity,Businessor a related field,graduating December 2023 - August 2024
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of z/OS mainframe subsystems, knowledge of various independent z/OS mainframe software vendor tools.
- Master the Mainframe Level 1
- Knowledge of documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

- Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented
- Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $81,000 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
