Blue Arc is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer with a modeling and simulation or intelligence background for an exciting new program with a US Department of Defense (DoD) customer. The Systems Engineer will work with our Army customer at Aberdeen Proving Ground to aid training, development and evaluation of automated tools for data collection, reduction, and analysis processes. We're looking for someone who understands Army Intel data and can analyze it after it is run through different scenarios, as well as understand how this data can be used to train Army artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML) tools for PM Intelligence Systems & Analytics (IS&A). You will be working with subject matter experts, developers, engineers, and other staff to ensure mission success. You will be making a positive contribution to your nation's security footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Help our engineering team integrate simulation, stimulation, scenario generation and scoring capabilities that align with the System Under Test (SUT).
- Use automated tools to assist in data collection, reduction, and analysis (DCRA) processes.
- Use existing models to create simulated data that can then be used to train and evaluate performance of AI/ML algorithms/solutions to support desired capabilities of a next-generation Army system: Data Ingest and Egress; Data Fusion; Target Detection, Recognitions, and Identification; Target Solution and Message Creation; Technical Performance and Reliability; Data Integrity.
- Break down data and timing requirements and align them with models to support critical gap assessments of the long range fires process.
- Help our engineering team develop a framework that can facilitate the development and optimization of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) through AI/ML or other stochastic methods.
- Collaborate across Multi-function / Multi-INT areas within IS&A.
- Draft operational scenarios to identify critical data that needs to be generated for training and evaluating application performance.
Requirements: Knowledge of M&S engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant STEM field.
- 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or modeling and simulation analysis in a military environment.
- Understanding of M&S environments to help set up M&S environment.
- Experience building test cases, test measurements and test reports.
- Modeling experience in ONESAF, IEWTPT, RF Modeling, Navy’s Builder, Air Force IMOM and/or others is desirable.
- Top Secret / SCI clearance preferred. Candidates with a current Secret-level clearance and TS eligibility are welcome to apply.
