This position is to a dual role, providing Onsite Technical Support 3 days, and Remote Technical Support 2 days. The onsite support is in San Francisco, CA. Some primary responsibilities when onsite would include hardware review, imaging and setup of new laptops/phones. The candidate should be a motivated individual looking to work in a stimulating, fast-paced and fun atmosphere. Responsibilities will be diverse and often require personal judgment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- To maintain a first-class level of customer service insuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Proficient at designing, building, migrating and maintaining:
- Modern enterprise networks and systems, including hardware.
- Proficient experience with updating SharePoint sites, managing permissions, and storage.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade VMware server hosts
- Windows Server & Active Directory
- Networking Infrastructure - firewalls, switches, WAPs, services, high-availability solutions.
- Financial Application maintenance and troubleshooting i.e. QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage 300 ERP or similar
- Microsoft Office 365/Exchange Online/Azure and Entra ID experience and email security & filtering solutions.
- Some other technical facets, details or requirements of the position may include, but not limited to:
- Manage and execute projects to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Communicate necessary updates to other Systems Engineers on the remote and field teams.
- Configure & manage Windows Servers & Exchange Servers with PowerShell
- Administer and configure NAS and SAN technologies from various vendors
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment - routers, firewall, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors, such as Cisco, Extreme, HP, Meraki, Netgear, SonicWALL, UniFi.
- Provide Disaster Recovery and backup solutions and support using Datto, Veeam, Shadow Protect, eVault, Zerto, and others.
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.
- Maintain detailed inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
- Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
- Meticulous documentation of procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.
- Significant communication with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
This job absolutely requires the following - do not apply if you don't have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Substantial experience with Windows Servers
- Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts
- Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
- Clearly demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware and Citrix XenApp
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A drivers license and vehicle of your own and the ability to travel to client locations
You're probably right for this job if you have:
- 2 + years technical experience relevant to the above
- A solid and well thought out diagnostic mindset
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (servers, computers, etc.)
- MSP experience is a plus
- Familiarity with the ConnectWise Suite of products is helpful but not a requirement
