The starting rate of pay for this position is $38.78, with the potential for future increases. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Systems Control Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to: AC/DC drives and motors, programmable logic controllers, robotics, process controllers, stepper & servo motors, fire protection equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plant support equipment.
- Implementing automated system upgrades and improvements
- Determining best practices that comply with all corporate, plant and department safety rules for Systems Control
- Supporting engineering, production, and maintenance of production, converting, assembly and packaging equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
- Creating an environment that supports all department in the attainment of customer satisfaction
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of three (3) years of technical experience in a private, public or government environment
OR
- High school diploma/ GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in a private, public or government environment
- Ability to work 2nd and/or 3rd Shift
- 2nd Shift: M-F; 3pm - 11pm
- 3rd Shift: M-F; 11pm - 7am
- Ability to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics or Robotics and Automation, or Engineering Technology
- Experience with Automation Controls and Robotics
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Possess excellent documentation skills
- Excellent technical communication skills, both written and oral to a diverse audience.
