Global Sourcing Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Sourcing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Global Sourcing operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain. The Global Sourcing Manager will collaborate with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

Global Sourcing Manager Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers.

• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and implement improvement plans when necessary.

• Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation and cost-effectiveness.

• Identify potential suppliers globally and assess their capabilities.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain.

• Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms on pricing, delivery, and quality.

• Establish and manage contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Monitor and enforce supplier adherence to contract terms and conditions.

• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.

• Continuously evaluate and analyze costs to identify areas for improvement.

• Drive efficiency in the sourcing process to achieve cost reduction targets.

• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.

• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the sourcing process.

• Stay informed about geopolitical, economic, and regulatory factors that may impact sourcing activities.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, production, and quality control.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and priorities.

Global Sourcing Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• 10+ years experience as a Global Sourcing Manager or in a similar role within the metals industry preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of Global Sourcing trends, market dynamics, and supplier landscapes.

• Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities, including the ability to model professional interactions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently, prioritizing deadlines.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
