The Systems Analyst Intern will receive meaningful experience as they work under the supervision of the Head of Business Systems to assist in analyzing business requirements and objectives related to Andelyn computer systems.  Systems Analyst interns assist in the planning, designing, developing, and maintaining of systems & processes to support business operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DTS team and project stakeholders to define needs and achievable solutions and/or justifications for system requirements.
  • With the guidance of DTS colleagues, analyze business processes, user requirements, and system documentation to define possible solutions or improvements to system functionality and capabilities.
  • Interface with business users and technical development teams to deliver solutions.
  • System Analyst Intern learns the complex business processes of the systems they support.
  • Assist with developing business reports with system data in the Data Warehouse
  • Define and document user requirements, functional and technical specifications, installation scripts, test plans, unit tests, integration tests, and regression test scripts.
  • Train end users on the system and the proper functionality of the application.
  • Create and maintain system documentation and procedures to ensure governance and standards.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail in all job functions.
  • Performs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and techniques and requires training common experience or working knowledge related to the tasks performed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Currently enrolled, full-time, in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited university/college focusing on Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other technology-related disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Superior attention to detail in all work products.
  • Dynamic, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate on a team towards accomplishing corporate goals.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks efficiently and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of, or experience with, reporting and dashboarding solutions.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with one of the following: system administration, systems applications, systems architecture, database administration, and technical requirements analysis.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sitting/remaining in a seated position
  • Occasionally standing or walking
  • Occasionally independently lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently talking on the phone or in person
  • Frequently keyboarding and computer work.
