Pay Grade: K
Under broad supervision, analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
This position will report to the Business Application Specialist Supervisor and will serve Metro: Clayton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb & Fulton counties, Call Center and the State Office in Atlanta.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Process and approve technological requests otherwise known as IMACs in a timely manner; including new installations (computers Network lines or peripherals), moves (equipment or accounts), additions (new accounts for Outlook, SOG, VPN etc.) and deletions (accounts for former employees).
- Advocate for the region by handling escalation requests when service desk tickets for IMACs listed above are not completed in a timely manner by the vendor, including performing root cause analysis of chronic or systemic issues.
- Provides training as the technological expert for the counties. Must be available to train on any technical subject as part of an ongoing effort to increase the technological skill set of the division. Assist in education and training sessions in which there is a technical component that must work.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
- Experience providing or facilitating professional learning/training events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of related experience.
OR
- Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three (3) years of related experience.
OR
- One (1) year of experience at the lower level Systems Analyst 1 (ITP020) or position equivalent.
- Related Qualifications for this position include Computer Science, Information Technology Information Science, Information Systems or any Information Technology related field of study.
- Related experience consists of hands-on experience in an information technology related position.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field AND three (3) or more years of related experience.
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
- Experience providing or facilitating professional learning/training events.
