About our Internship Program:
The Summer Internship Program is a unique and challenging 10-week experience for diverse, talented, high-performing individuals interested in different aspects of the financial and technology industry. Contingent upon business needs, performance and completion of degree, our internship serves as a pipeline to our full-time early-career program EDGE.

- A flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
The impact you will have in this role:
The mandate of DTCC's Systemic Risk Office (SRO) is to identify, evaluate and mitigate, to the extent possible, risks arising from DTCC's: (i) activities, products, processes, and systems employed in the normal course of business; (ii) response to an extraordinary market event; (iii) interconnections with other entities; and (iv) potential implications of new products and services.
The SRO Intern will support the goals and objectives of the Systemic Risk function primarily by conducting ongoing monitoring of potential Systemic Risks, preparing both qualitative and quantitative analyses as needed and managing or supporting various Systemic Risk projects.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce concise written research on macroeconomic and market trends and risks, and verbally articulate analysis to risk analysts and executive management
- Perform research and support the production of short thematic reports and white papers on key topics driving financial markets and other initiatives
- Provide various forms of analysis, data, charts, etc. needed to support the interconnectedness risk initiative
- Execute ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications:
- Candidates must be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in the following curriculums: Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, MIS or Business & Technology Management
- Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (now or in the future)
- Candidates must have minimum of a 3.2 GPA upon graduation
Talents Needed for Success:
- Must demonstrate superior analytical and communication skills
- Strong interest in the financial services industry, with previous internship experience a plus
- Experience writing or contributing to research reports
- Proficiency in working with Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other Microsoft Office applications and additional software packages, as applicable. VBA and Access skills are a plus
- Exposure to current events and the macroeconomic environment, with a working knowledge of equity and/or fixed income markets
- A working knowledge of quantitative risk techniques and tools a plus
