Job Title:System Engineer, Positive Train Control (PTC)

Accountabilities:

· Interface directly with internal and external project team members and customer representatives and other stakeholders for system integration and testing.

· Serve as primary contact and lead engineer for lab and field system testing, support and implementation.

· Ensure that project activities are executed in accordance with the project requirements and quality expectations.

· Participate in technical reviews and workshops.

· Manage the System Requirements for the entire life cycle of the project (Design and Testing).

· Support and develop test cases, test procedures and test reports.

· Possibility of supporting night testing during field testing milestones.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

· Minimum 5 years of professional experience.

· Minimum 3 years of Design/Integration/Testing experience in the Rail industry.

· Demonstrated ability to engage a cross-functional teams of varying skills/experience.

· Builds effective relationships and has exceptional communication.

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

· Experience working with Positive Train Control (PTC)

· Basic understanding of RF Communications.

· Experience with computer networking and network architecture.

· Experience with control systems a plus.

· Experience with simulation and/or modeling a plus.

· Experience with subsystem integration.

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.

· Professional experience can be acceptable in lieu of college degree program.
