The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. As part of a global Infrastructure Engineering team, you will possess strong knowledge and awareness to support and improve the IT systems including Windows and Linux. You will have experience with virtualization, on prem and cloud solution while working as part of a global team. You will be remote, and will report to the Sr Global Infrastructure and Operations Manager.
You Will:
- Install, support and configure Linux systems, Windows systems and applications to meet our requirements
- Ensure accurate documentation for systems to enable support
- Develop automation to handle complex and repetitive tasks
- Investigate and contribute to the investigation and deployment of new solutions
- Be the point of escalation for operations team members
- Collaborate with other team members and IT partners to build, maintain and troubleshoot systems
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT discipline, Computer Science or MIS
- 3+ years of Linux systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of Linux based operating systems (REHL and Alam Linux)
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Understanding of scripting/programming/configuration languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible
- Understanding of core infrastructure technologies such as network fundamentals, backups, DR, HA.
- Understanding of physical hardware and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Nutanix.
- Experience interacting with internal customers
- Analytical troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with advanced server and cloud-based technologies and a strong knowledge of IT systems and applications
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Office365, Azure and AWS
- Experience with storage technologies
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
