The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the daily management and availability of systems and services for to include, but not limited to:
- Installation and configuration of hardware and software for end user services, infrastructure components (physical and virtual)/Servers/Routers/Switches)
- Firmware Updates
- Compatibility Matrix
- Data Center
- License Management
- Software Versioning and Control
- Build and Decommission packages and processes (Image Management)
- Manage Network servers, and technology tools (monitoring)
- Manage user and Highly Privileged Accounts (HPA)
- Manage and administrate Active Directory for both on-premises and Azure AD
- Performance and Capacity monitoring
- Identification
- Trend Analysis
- Infrastructure Troubleshooting
- New Hire onboarding
- Hardware staging
- Imaging
- Application Support
- Configuration
- Account remediation (offboarding)
- Data Protection (Backups)
- Configuration
- Remediation
- Media Management (Tape rotations/Disk storage)
- Firewall Management
- Access Controls
- Audit support (reports, statistics, data)
- Reporting and Adhoc Systems Reports
- Business Continuity and Recovery
- Security (Physical, Email, Phishing, Cloud/Azure, VPN)
- Process and Procedures/Runbooks/Documentation
- Incident detection/response/remediation
- Post Incident reviews (Proactive)
- Root Cause Analysis
- Corrective Action planning/plans
Daily Tasks may include:
- Incident management
- Network analysis/review/optimization
- Monitoring review/remediation
- Capacity review of infrastructure service and components
- Performance monitoring (Azure, Exchange, Sophos, Proofpoint)
- Backup Success and remediation
- User account creation/deletion
- Access log review
- Vendor Management/Escalation
- Systems optimization
- End user escalation and support (Service Desk escalations)
Weekly Tasks may include:
- Storage/Tape Management/Cycle
- Log management
- Incident/Service Request Analysis/Review
- Performance trend analysis
- Process review and optimization
- Vendor Management/Escalation
- On call rotation and support
Monthly Tasks may include:
- Performance audit/scorecard review
- Project updates
- Service Desk Summarization/Review
- License management/review
- Certificate
- Support Contract Review (vendor management)
- Patch Management
