ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for growing market share in the Dallas market by growing assets under management through new client relationships and strengthening relationships with existing clients. This position represents Westwood Wealth Management in the community through membership in professional associations and cultural organizations and engaging in other activities to generate prospective client leads. Responsible for managing and developing a team of advisors who are externally focused on growth but should also maintain top-notch client service. Candidate is expected to deliver the highest level of client service standards to their assigned book of clients and meet retention goals.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

New Business Development

  • Develop new business to achieve annual growth objectives through executing Westwood Wealth Management’s strategic approach for growing and retaining assets and sourcing new business
  • Meet and exceed established sales goals, performance expectations and standards for success
  • Manage the sales process for high-net-worth clients and the complexities of each relationship to develop new business
  • Network within the community and attend company sponsored events. Find new avenues of growth within the HNW and UHNW markets
  • Leverage relationships with business and community leaders and COIs to generate leads and facilitate introductions

Client Relations and Asset Management

  • Collaborate with other team members and resources to best serve clients
  • Represent the organization's positions, initiatives, and interests with a focus on the delivery of superior client service
  • Cultivate client relationships to build high client retention rates by providing each client with valuable service offerings, competitive investment processes and performance and by fulfilling the role of trusted advisor
  • Perform ongoing account reviews of asset allocation models, request rebalancing to targets and review of required account documentation
  • Coordinate client's overall investment, financial, estate, and income tax planning to assist the client in achieving specific trust and asset management objectives
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion preparation and distribution of all tax documents to clients
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external rules, policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements

People Management and Administrative

  • Coaches, mentors and challenges staff and advisors. Champions continuous development by delegating tasks and maintaining positive relationships between team members
  • Focuses on cultivating a team-oriented environment, one in which the team is working at its optimal level to best serve clients and to meet goals
  • Provide feedback to managers on personnel, may assist in performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, setting goals for career development across the company
  • Assist in the coordination of communication across account teams and applicable institutional segments
  • Ensure proper maintenance of CRM system for client book
  • Participate in informational and educational seminars designed to build awareness to targeted groups
  • Conduct clear, coherent and understandable financial presentations to current, new and prospective clients highlighting Westwood’s investment strategy, account performance and new products
  • Actively participate in several internal and external committees
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or similar field; post graduate degree preferred
  • J.D, CFA, or CFP preferred

Minimum Specific Experience Required:

  • 20+ years of experience in financial services, client management and demonstrated sales success. Trust experience preferred.

TRAVEL

This position requires frequent travel. Most travel is within the local area and may be outside of normal work hours.
