Job Description

We are looking to fill a SVP, Chief Compliance BSA Officer position with a nationally chartered trust company offering trust, investment and retirement services, primarily through credit unions.

This position is responsible for leading compliance initiatives, strategies, and operations by supporting trust officers and staff in the administration of fiduciary accounts. The primary responsibility of the SVP Chief Compliance BSA Officer includes reviewing account paperwork, distribution documentation, and other required documentation. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Chief Compliance and BSA Officer and lead compliance strategy and operations
  • Liaison between clients, trust officers, and operations in researching and client requests
  • Utilize data, risk assessments, and other analytic tools to identify areas of risk and compliance issues proactively
  • Develop and implement changes to existing company procedures, policies, and programs
  • Chair the compliance committee, including preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes
  • Facilitate information gathering and analysis, and integration of data for OCC, Reg 9, and BSA audits
  • Support staff in the documentation and execution of corrective actions identified by regulatory examinations
  • Serve as a resource for clients, trust officers, and operations staff and provide guidance
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations and report new developments to executives and senior management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal, or 5+ years of equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of prior experience within the financial services industry
  • Ability to present to executive management and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow multiple-step tasks through the completion
  • Detailed understanding of laws and regulations, including BSA/AML/OFAC requirements
