We are excited to announce the opening of a new 20-26 seat Sushi Handroll House in the vibrant city of Asheville, NC. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sushi Chef who is ready to take on the challenge of creating and leading our culinary team. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to become a co-owner of the restaurant and help shape its future.
Responsibilities:
- Help with the creation of our sushi menu.
- Source both local and international sustainable fish ingredients.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering strictly to food safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory of supplies.
- Conduct and oversee team training as needed.
- Daily preparation of sushi dishes.
Required Skills:
- Proven kitchen management experience.
- Expertise in sushi preparation, fish cutting, slicing, and filleting.
- Proficiency in sushi dish preparations.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work environment.
- Experience in training and leading a culinary team.
We are offering co-ownership opportunities after a 3 month trial period.
