Survey UAS LiDAR Pilot

ESP is currently recruiting for a Survey UAS LiDAR Pilot to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for a survey professional with particular interest in UAV surveying for aerial data collection to grow your career with a well-established Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm!

Due to the nature of this work, the role requires extensive (50-75% travel).

Responsibilities:

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Supervise UAS/UAV crews during various UAS/UAV missions.
• Supervise field crews with conventional and GPS collection.
• Ability to travel out of town on assignments (50-75%)

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in surveying/geomatics, civil engineering or related field
• 3+ years of crew chief experience with conventional equipment
• UAV LiDAR drone experience
• SIT or PLS preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, CADD programs and Trimble Business Center
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers and robotic total stations considered a plus
• DOT and route survey experience considered a plus
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Part 107 drone pilot
• Hold a minimum of 50 hours of flight time and the ability to provide flight logs for hours
• 3+ years of experience in land surveying required (preferably in UAS LiDAR acquisition)
