Survey Technician Ii

Bolton & Menk has a great opportunity for a Survey Technicianto join our team in our Myrtle Beach office. As aTop Workplace, This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great team of professionals and grow your career! This role will be approximately 90% office work and 10% field work.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Assist in the production of survey drawings
• Perform basic survey computations
• Use CAD and other survey/engineering software for basic survey drawing preparation
• Assist with survey field operations as needed with:
• Construction staking, which will include shoveling, lifting and carrying 25-50 lbs
• Operate survey instruments (robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors) to collect and process field measurements and data for engineering and surveying project

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience or coursework.
• Three years of related survey experience.
• Good interpersonal written & verbal communication skills.
• Good time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced math skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Demonstrates ability to learn survey and engineering concepts.
• Working knowledge of Trimble equipment and software. (Trimble Access & Trimble Business Center)
• Thorough knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge and skills in CAD and survey software. (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, Microstation)
• Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
