We are looking for a self-driven entry-level Survey Programmer with a strong interest in political polling and market research. Our ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, a fast-learner, and wants to make a difference in a fast-paced campaign-like setting.

The Survey Programmer's primary role is to program BSG questionnaires on the Decipher survey platform, anticipate programming issues and problems that could impact data collection, keep track of programming changes, adhere to and update timelines, and work closely with team members to QC programing and launch surveys.

What You Will Do:

• Program online surveys with tight timelines
• Review survey questionnaires and provide recommendations to ensure accurate programming and optimal data layout
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure error free deliverables
• Maintain detailed programming change logs
• Identify and implement novel programming techniques and non-standard solutions to programming challenges
• Interact with the project management team to clarify technical requirements for projects, including participating in kick off calls

Requirements

What You Will Need:

• Ability to program in Python
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt and learn new tasks quickly
• Team player with a proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong command of the English language
• Willing to work in hybrid work environment (two days per week in Santa Monica office)
• Preferred, but not required:
• Experience with survey platform software (Decipher, Qualtrics, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic web design (HTML, CSS, etc.)
• Proficiency with database software
• Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (esp. Excel)

BSG is part of WPP, a creative transformative company. Per WPP, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting is $45,000 - $90,000 per year. Individual compensation varies based on several factors, including location, job responsibilities, experience, and skills/qualifications.
