In this role you will utilize your experience with boundary, topographic, utilities surveying, and construction stake out. We need an individual that can plan, organizes, and direct work of one or more survey parties engaged in land surveying, and an individual that is be able to determine precise locations and measurements of physical structures and features, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, map making, land division, titles, easements or other purposes, by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizes research data of previous surveys, existing deeds, mapping evidence, and other records to conduct field searches of right of way (ROW) evidence including monuments and ROW markers.
Conduct, establish, and document control survey networks including GPS Static/RTK surveys, horizontal and vertical traversing, utilizing traditional and digital survey methods. Keeps accurate survey notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Maintains the surveying equipment and survey vehicle that is assigned.
Coordinates and communicates all field activity with the Survey Manager, including daily schedule and project progress status. Communicates effectively with office staff, including CAD operators, engineers and architects, regarding initial survey field results and field-edit surveys. Assumes legal responsibility for work.
Supervises all field personnel that is assigned, including Instrument Person, Survey Field Technicians, and Day Laborers. Proficiency in current surveying techniques using different forms of total stations, including robotic instruments, data collectors, GPS and Digital Scanning equipment.
