We are looking for a Survey Division Leader to join our Overland Park, Kansas team.
Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership to the Survey division, charting a strategic course to meet departmental objectives in each office location.
Align Survey division strategy with Regional, Company, and Office leadership
Exhibit exceptional leadership and management skills to inspire and motivate a growing team
Understand company strategy and what success looks like in division lead role
Lead business development initiatives for Survey departments, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to proposal development.
Oversee the coordination and management of all Survey activities, including resource planning, proposal review for large project opportunities, and project audits.
Strengthen a culture of superpower responsiveness through successful delivery of high quality services and proactive internal and external client communications.
Establish a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the Survey division, promoting teamwork and employee development.
Promote OWN by being a brand champion internally and externally.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, proactively addressing issues and risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and implement product standards and quality control measures to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects within the Survey division.
Develop and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
Work with Business Development and Marketing teams to develop growth strategies across the Survey division.
Work closely with Office Leaders, Regional Leaders, and business lines to identify opportunities to cross sell services.
Lead recruitment efforts for the division with a focus on technical expertise and client growth.
Drive the adoption of cutting-edge surveying software, technologies, and methodologies, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Total Station, and GPS equipment.
Oversee the maintenance and archiving of survey records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Create a culture of safety by providing a workplace that is safe for all employees.

Qualifications
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Kansas.
A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in land surveying, with a strong track record of successful strategic leadership.
Profound familiarity with surveying software and technologies, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS equipment.
Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic business development activities, including strategic client management and relationship building.
Exceptional strategic management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal team members effectively.
Expertise in advanced survey practices, equipment, and methodologies.
Strong strategic acumen in determining project requirements, setting priorities, and managing resources.
Outstanding strategic time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines and deliver high-quality strategic results.
Exceptional strategic communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts and information clearly and concisely.
Capability to lead strategic initiatives that drive company growth and innovation.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Extended periods of sitting and working at a desk.
Ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
