Payrate: $28.38 hourly
Job Description:
Oversees the shift during surveillance operation. Protects the assets of the gaming property, patrons and employees. Oversees day-to-day Surveillance operations to ensure that all rules and regulations are being followed. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as the department representative in the absence of the Surveillance Manager and/or Director.
- Oversees Surveillance team and improves staff effectiveness by counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
- Implements and participates in staff development and training programs.
- Completes and conducts disciplinary actions
- Must have working knowledge and be able to utilize the Gaming data systems that are available to Surveillance.
- Reports immediately, in writing, all Surveillance video equipment malfunctions and/or gaming irregularities as noted during working hours to the Surveillance Manager / Director as per stablished protocol.
- Assists with Weekly and Monthly Surveillance reports.
- Maintains familiarity with current Gaming Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
- Adheres to and enforces all Company Personnel Policies and Procedures and Department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide Surveillance of Gaming Operations for the purpose of identifying procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal Law, New York State Video Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures - identifies and reports any such violations in accordance with established protocol.
- May participate in any internal or external investigations conducted by Suffolk Off-Track Betting, or authorized Law Enforcement Agency.
- Reviews, prepares and submits reports and documentation pertaining to Surveillance operations.
- Maintains data files on suspect activity, criminal activities, medical incidents, procedural infractions, etc. according to established protocol.
- Work with all other Surveillance Shift Managers in making sure staffing levels are adequate for days and shifts as required to maintain compliance.
- Use of audio/video equipment to observe business operations.
- Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all Surveillance information including, but not limited to camera coverage, investigations and proprietary material.
- Verify and account for Surveillance records, reports and camera views.
- Maintain current knowledge of camera locations and viewing angles.
- Monitor Gaming facility intrusion and panic alarms.
- Report promptly all camera and equipment deficiencies.
- Must be a role model for all staff and lead by example.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years’ surveillance experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Intermediate computer skills; including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.
Other:
- Weekends, Holidays, swing shift, grave shift work may be required.

Experience
Required- 3 year(s): Must have 3 years supervisory experience
- 3 year(s): Must have 3 years minimum surveillance experience.
Education
Required- High School or better
