Job Description
Responsible for managing and training of entire Surveillance staff for the assigned shift. Implements approved policies and procedures. Coordinates the day-to-day activities related to the surveillance of gaming, simulcast and cash-handling areas, including the audio-visual taping of count room operations. Responsible for maintaining and submitting accurate surveillance reports during assigned shift to the appropriate personnel. Assigns work and responsibilities, directing employees, scheduling and training to ensure that the work group operates at maximum efficiency. Participate in the employee selection process, interviewing and recommending that candidates are hired. Set performance standards for tasks, jobs and roles of their employees. Align individual performance expectations with organizational goals. Disciplines employees and issues corrective actions. Provides outstanding customer and employee service at all times. Must present a neat and clean appearance at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties
Trains, develops, directs and supervises staff for the assigned shift. Implements company policies and procedures. Maintains records on department activities and makes appropriate reports during assigned shift. Reviews tapes associated with all aspects of the operation. Adheres to and enforces all applicable NY State Lottery regulations and internal controls. Protects the company assets. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Performs the duties of operators as necessary.
Job Requirements
Physical and Mental
20/20 vision/corrective lenses. Ability to distinguish colors, shapes and differences in sizes. Ability to sit and/or stand and walk for an extended period of time. Ability to work in a confined area. Must have strong analytical and math skills and also be detail oriented and precise. Ability to communicate effectively in English (orally and in writing). Ability to make decisions.
Work/Educational Experience
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field AND two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position
- OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position
- OR Two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position within Resorts World
- Six (6) years’ related work experience
- Working knowledge of all necessary equipment, CCTV, VCR, cameras, monitors and band radios. Must have excellent PC, communication and delegation skills.
- Must be knowledgeable in all gaming, finance functions and in cheating techniques. Must be congenial and a team player.
Salary Range: $32.25 - $43.00
