What You Will Do:
Surgical Technologist functions as the scrub person. Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures. They ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
This is a novice, new grad entry level position; less than 2 years of experience ASC or OB tech; or may considered those who have large gap (>3 years) in practice and are reentering the profession.
What You Will Need:
- Associates degree in Medical Technology or other related health sciences course of study.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Less than one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in the same area or in similar day-to-day situations in a hospital operating room setting.
- Minimum License BLS (CPR)
- Experience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred
