Pride Health is seeking candidates for a Surgical Tech opening that would support our client's healthcare systems in Summit, NJ! This is a 08-weeks contract assignment with high possibility of extension!
Pay rate: $75/hr
Schedule: 7 pm-8 AM overnight, 2 Saturday every 6 weeks, 3x13 required
Job Duties: Assist in the care of the surgical patient. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Follows instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room. Maintains a Safe Environment: Practices Standard Precautions at all times. Maintains a safe environment in accordance with hospital polices and regulatory agencies.
Skills: Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing and /or walking. Certified Surgical Technician required.
Minimum Degree Required: High School Graduate or GED.
Note: Must work all holidays Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
