Surgical Technicians

Adecco is helping one of our esteemed clients with their search for Surgical Techs for a tight-knit team within a small hospital in scenic Shelton, WA!

Type:                     Contract/Perm, with potential for extension or a full time offer
Schedule:             40 hours a week
Pay:                       $25.46-$36.66

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Assist the surgical team as the primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.

·       Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. Advocate for the patient. Provide individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient’s stay and evaluate efficacy.

·       Accurately and effectively anticipate changes in patient care needs. Communicate and document changes in patient condition in a timely manner to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.

·       Participate in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation with appropriate resources.

·       Initiate effective discharge and referral plans upon admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.

·       Delegate patient care activities to appropriate personnel and maintain accountability for those activities. Assist other nursing team members through the steps of the nursing process.

Required Education and Experience:

·       Completion of an accredited training program in Surgical Technology.

·       One year of operating room experience strongly preferred.

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:

·       Current Surgical Technician certification in the state of Washington (preferred)

·       Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

·       Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
