CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN/LVN

CST SURG TECH/LVN

Full-Time

SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED: $25,000

Surgical Technician/LVN's will have the following job responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies and solutions.
• During surgery, surgical technologists pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment.
• Surgical technologists simultaneously manage the sterile field and specimens.
• Surgical technologists perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects.
• Surgical technologists are certified following successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program and the national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

Surgical Technician/LVN's must meet the following minimum job qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with completion of training as an Operation Room Technician Certificate as a CST or LVN
• CERTIFICATION AS A CST OR LVN LICENSE: L-TX-LVN, C-AORT-SURGICAL TECH
• BLS
• 2 Letters of Recommendation
• PALS, ACLS preferred (may complete within 90 days of hire cost free)
