Prior experience in hair transplant procedures and familiar with the FUE process is preferred but not necessary. Willing to provide training to the right candidate.
Job Overview: preparing and cleaning the room and equipment. Prepping the patient. Preparing, trimming and placing the grafts in an efficient manner. Must be a team player with a great personality and patient relation skills.
Duties:
* Prepares operating room with necessary sterile supplies, equipment, and follows preference card with complete accuracy.
* Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors and cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
* Assists with skin preparation and draping of patients prior to operations.
* Sets up sterile instrument table and assists surgeon during operative procedures.
* Prepare dressings or bandages and apply or assist with their application following surgery.
* Maintain high standards of sterile technique, patient safety and infection control.
* Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies and equipment
* Handling/sterilizing instruments/tools.
* Be familiar with surgical instruments, names, and comfortable assisting the surgeon in the OR, or have the ability to learn quickly
* Flexible work schedule, including some 10-hour work days
* Must be detailed oriented
* Ability to master microsurgery
*Learn New Instruments
*Learn to cut and place grafts under physician supervision
*Ability to follow direction
* Must be able to stand for a long period of time
Qualifications:
* Medical Assistant/Surgical Tech certification with hair restoration experience preferred
* Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Basic computer skills
* Planning and organization skills
* Positive and energetic
* Excellent hand-eye coordination
Starting Salary Level:
$25.00 - $35.00 hourly based on experience.
