Applies Surgical Technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment and performing all related job responsibilities. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

BPN Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Surgical Technologist to provide services for a 13-week contract.
Job description:
- Shifts available: 5x8 Day, Mon Fri 6:30 am - 3:00pm
- Call 1-2 nights/week. 1 weekend every 5-6 weekends.
- No call required
- Weekly pay w/ travel stipend included
Applies Surgical Technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment and performing all related job responsibilities. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the perioperative patient including providing a safe environments for the patient.
- Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the surgical procedure.
- Assists Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patient assembly of supplies instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens.
- Performs surgical scrub duties sponge instrument and needle counts according to department policy and procedure.
- Provides the surgeon with appropriate instruments supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
- Monitors and maintains sterility of surgical field and supplies according to departmental policy.
- Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing.
- Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy.
- Monitors and documents sterilization activities for completion and accuracy according to departmental policy/guidelines.
- Must have 2 Years of recent Surgical Technologist Experience!
- CST and BLS require
- Strong Transplant experience is a must
- Skills Required: Scrub, Aseptic Technique, Must be able to scrub Hepatobiliary, Kidney and Liver Transplants
- would prefer someone with a lot of Ortho experience, ENT, Plastic, Eyes
- Proof of covid vaccine
