Surgical Schedule Coordinators are responsible for the following:
Schedules surgical cases for physicians according to physician and patient preference.Assists physicians with transfers, ER/direct admissions as needed.
Obtains all necessary referrals and pre-certifications for surgery and any testing.
The Surgical Schedule Coordinator will handle all tasks involving scheduling and pre certification for surgical procedures. They will pre-certify all scheduled surgeries with insurance companies at least two weeks prior to scheduled surgery, or as soon as notified of surgery.
High School Diploma or GED
Three (3) years experience in a surgical office preferred
Excellent customer service skills
